Lirik lagu "A Nonsense Christmas" oleh Sabrina Carpenter

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Penyanyi Sabrina Carpenter menggubah lagunya yang hit tahun di 2022 "Nonsense" di album pertamanya bertajuk "Emails I Can't Send", dengan menambahkan nuansa natal pada lirik dan judulnya sehingga menjadi "A Nonsense Christmas".

Lagu "Nonsense" sendirinya awalnya ditulis Sabrina bersama penulis lagu Steph Jones, dan diproduseri rekan penulis lagu Liam Payne One Direction, Julian Bunetta, serta produser nomine Grammy Leroy Clampitt alias Big Taste.

Rendisi "Nonsense" berjudul "A Nonsense Christmas" pun dirilis ke berbagai platform musik pada 7 Desember 2022 melalui Island Records, dan kemudian dirilis lagi dalam mini album (extended play/EP) Sabrina bertajuk "Fruitcake" pada 17 November 2023.

Lirik lagu bernuansa pop R&B alternatif itu mengandung serangkaian permainan kata-kata lucu, genit dan bermakna ganda dari seorang wanita yang bermaksud menyampaikan bahwa dia sangat mendambakan momen natal akan dihabiskan berdua seharian bersama kekasihnya.
