Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has stirred the pot ahead of this weekend's El Clasico.

The Catalan giants meet their arch-rivals Real Madrid on Sunday afternoon, with Hansi Flick's side two points behind them at the top of LaLiga heading into the game.

Real lost all four El Clasicos last season which has only added to the hostile atmosphere for tomorrow's clash at the Bernabeu, and Yamal added to that with his comments.

Speaking on the Kings League YouTube channel, the seven-a-side football tournament established by Barcelona icon Gerard Pique, the 18-year-old was asked if Porcinos, a team in the competition, were similar to Real.

'Yes, they rob (a reference to refereeing decisions); they complain; they do things...' Yamal replied.

This has reportedly infuriated Real, with Spanish outlet Marca claiming that the Los Blancos dressing room are 'fed up' with Yamal.

Yamal's barbed comments in the media have reportedly left Real's stars 'fed up' with him

The report adds that Xabi Alonso's squad are not surprised by Yamal's actions and will use his words, which were discussed during training, as further motivation for tomorrow.

Yamal caused similar shockwaves last season in interviews he conducted around various El Clasicos.

After Barcelona fought back to win the Copa del Rey in April, the Spaniard had said: 'I said to Ronald [Araujo] when we were speaking in the hotel earlier: "If they score one goal, no problem."

'If they score two goals? No problem. They cannot handle us this year - we have shown it.'

Those comments generated a furious reaction from those of a Real persuasion, yet Yamal still fanned the flames of the fire just a few days later.

'While I'm winning, they can't say anything,' he added. 'When they beat me, they can.'

Yamal scored three times and provided two assists in those four games against Real  and after returning from injury, he is likely to have a big say on tomorrow's encounter.

Meanwhile, his words this week also caused a stir among the Madrid press, with Marca urging Barcelona to send a message to Yamal.

They wrote: 'Yamal’s comments are very serious. Barcelona must give him a warning - publicly or privately - but they can’t just turn a blind eye.'

Elsewhere, El Chiringuito labelled them as 'scandalous words', while Defensa Central said it was 'time to put Yamal back in his place'.
