Follow Daily Mail Sport's live blog for the latest score, team news and updates as Newcastle vs Fulham and Chelsea vs Sunderland are both in action in the Premier League, with Craig Hope and Kieran Gill reporting from the grounds.

Chelsea's happy memories

Last time Chelsea and Sunderland met, the Blues lifted the Premier League trophy and the Black Cats finished bottom of the table.

Antonio Conte's side had already been confirmed as champions, and the day was partially a farewell to John Terry.

Willian, Eden Hazard, Pedro, and Michy Batshuayi (2) scored that day for a 5-1 win and you felt it could be the start of something. Amazingly, they haven't won the Premier League since.

Fulham seek first away win

Fulham's travels haven't treated them kindly this campaign - one draw and three defeats on the spin, with nine goals conceded.

Marco Silva's side could well be looking over their shoulders if they on't have a good run before the next international break. If we're expecting Nottingham Forest and West Ham to have a bounce under their new bosses, that gap to the bottom three could tighten. And it only stands at three points as we speak.

Newcastle look to build on midweek boost

I think the fact that Newcastle are 15th has gone under the radar a bit.

This start to the season has been poor, in the league at least. Of course, the disruption from the Alexander Isak saga didn't help, but they've recruited well.

They beat Jose Mourinho's Benfica 3-0 in midweek, featuring an epic throw from Nick Pope, and Eddie Howe will hope that has them in the mood for more goalscoring.

Sunderland in town

Sunderland have completed their journey down to London well in advance.

Google tells me that the distance between the Stadium of Light and Stamford Bridge is a mere 287.4 miles. I think I'd need a two-hour buffer just to stretch my legs after that journey.

Get the armbands out!

Chelsea's preparation for today's action has been less than ideal because they were forced to evacuate their training ground on Friday amid fears of a chlorine leak.

Ah, chlorine. Takes me back to the days of splashing round in swimming pools on holiday and getting that nasty taste in your mouth. Good idea evacuating, I'd say.

You can read more about that disruption below.
