Tennis legend Venus Williams was mistaken for Naomi Campbell on Monday night in an awkward moment at a glitzy New York City event.
Both Williams and Campbell attended the 2025 CFDA Awards at the American Museum of Natural History.
But it was Williams who turned up to the event first, and as seen in a video from the event, the seven-time Grand Slam winner was called 'Naomi' by several photographers as she walked up the steps with her husband Andrew Preti.
Williams turned up to the event in a black polka-dotted dress and posed for photos on the red carpet.
Campbell reportedly showed up roughly 90 minutes after the tennis star before taking to the red carpet herself.
The supermodel was not at all dressed similarly to Williams, as she donned sunglasses and a white dress with a zipper near the top.

Williams returned to the US Open this year and made a surprising run in the doubles competition
Other attendees of the event included Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, Anna Wintour and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.
Williams, 45, spectacularly returned to the US Open this year as she competed in the singles, doubles and new-look mixed doubles competitions.
And she made something of a Cinderella run in the doubles format alongside Leylah Fernandez, as the pair advanced to the quarterfinals before losing to Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova.
Williams had not played for more than a year before she turned up at the Citi Open in DC last July.
And following her exit from this year's US Open, she didn't close the door on playing more in the future.
'I think I was never out of love with the game, or I don't know. I never had to think about if I loved the game', she said, referring to her 16-month absence from the sport.
'I was always playing, so it's part of my DNA. But clearly, to be out here grinding at this point, there has to be a little love, right?'
