WWE Hall of Famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler was forced to pull out of a public appearance this week after suffering his third stroke in the space of seven years.

According to TMZ Sports, Lawler, 75, is already on the road to recovery following the medical emergency at one of his homes in Florida last Friday.

The wrestling legend's daughter is believed to be taking him back to his primary residence, where he will rest and recover for a few more weeks before eventually getting back to normal.

He was scheduled to appear at a HorrorHound convention in Cincinnati on Friday, yet organizers announced on Monday that he would no longer be attending due to 'some personal matters'.

Lawler was hospitalized back in 2023 after a 'massive' stroke, while ESPN claim he previously suffered one five years earlier.

In 2012 the former wrestler also collapsed during a live broadcast of WWE's Monday Night Raw due to a heart attack.

The 75-year-old wrestling icon is already said on the road to recovery after his latest scare

He was last seen on TV back in February, when cameras showed him enjoying WWE Smackdown in his home state of Tennessee.

Lawler opened up on his recovery from the stroke in 2023 earlier this year, admitting it has had a significant effect on one half of his body.

'Well, that's something that's here constantly every day [the impact of his stroke],' he told SportsKeeda in March. 'I want to say gotten over — I haven't gotten over [it] because the effects of the stroke, they're always there.

'I mean, my whole right side of my body is damaged. I can't really write too good. I can't draw worth a darn, but I can still sign an autograph, thank goodness. But other than that, I feel fine.'

Lawler is one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history after a career which spanned over five decades.

He is best known for his legendary 1980s feud with comedian Andy Kaufman, which brought wrestling to a mainstream audience at the time.

In the 1990s and 200s, 'The King' then became the voice of WWE's 'Attitude Era' whil ecommentating on Monday Night Raw alongside Jim Ross.
