With rumors suggesting one of ESPN's top talents is heading for Netflix, an avalanche of CV's have flooded the offices of 'The Worldwide Leader' in an attempt to fill her role.

On Monday, it was reported that SportsCenter host Elle Duncan will be departing for Netflix to be the face of their sports coverage.

Duncan - who also hosts the women's college basketball version of 'College GameDay' as well as 'WNBA Countdown - has not yet been confirmed for the job.

However, according to FrontOfficeSports, a 'stampede' of on-air talent has been racing to try and be Duncan's eventual replacement.

'The resumes are flying. There's going to be a lot of people fighting for these jobs. Burke's phone is going to be lighting up,' one source told FOS, referring to ESPN president of content Burke Magnus.

A day after the initial report was published by The Athletic, Duncan's departure has still not been made official.

A 'stampede' of on-air talent could be coming to replace Elle Duncan if she leaves ESPN

FOS reports that Duncan is still discussing her future with ESPN's management - as her contract expires at the end of 2025.

Both ESPN and fellow broadcasters Fox recently shared hard-line stances against sharing talent with the streaming giant - making it unlikely for Duncan to stay with her current employer while also going to Netflix.

There are many options within the company to replace Duncan at any of her roles.

FOS has floated Malika Andrews, Chiney Ogwumike, Monica McNutt and Andraya Carter for WNBA/College GameDay hosting duties while the SportsCenter role could be filled by Christine Williamson, Amina Smith, Nicole Briscoe, MJ Acostas-Ruiz or Kelsey Riggs Cuff.

The outlet also floated two possible outside-the-company names: Jamie Erdahl of NFL Network and CBS Sports host Amanda Guerra.
