After watching Micah Parsons put on a dominant performance against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football, Packers fans were sure to send proper thanks to the man responsible for bringing him to Green Bay.

Parsons, who was recently acquired from the Dallas Cowboys, dominated Washington's offensive line en route to a 27-18 victory which was much more lopsided than the score suggests.

The 26-year-old's relentless pressure led to two tackles, half-a-sack, and three quarterback hits as he continued to get into the backfield and disrupt Washington passer Jayden Daniels.

After the game, Packers fans got near the Thursday Night Football post-game show desk - waiting for Parsons to arrive for his interview.

When the cameras returned from commercial, those fans were heard loudly chanting 'Thank you Jerry' over and over as Parsons stoically nodded to them.

'Jerry', of course, is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones - who, after realizing negotiations with Parsons were at a dead end, traded his star to Green Bay for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.

Parsons has already gotten off to a strong start with the Packers - recording a sack in his first game with the team last week against the Detroit Lions.

That comes after Parsons missed much of training camp with the Cowboys, first holding out during contract negotiations before developing a back issue.

Eventually, as negotiations prolonged, Parsons demanded a trade from Dallas. That wish was later granted by Jones.

Jones had previously blamed Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, for stalled contract talks.

In a statement to Cowboys fans after the trade, Parsons hinted that Jones' apprehension for working with Mulugheta was a major reason why the trade happened.

'I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything was in my control,' read a part of Parsons' statement. 'My heart has always been here, and it still is.

'Through it all, I never made any demands. I never asked for anything more than fairness. I only asked that the person I trust to negotiate my contract be part of the process.'

Parsons was a key reason why Washington underperformed on Thursday - with the Commanders scoring only 18 points, 15 of which came in the fourth quarter.
