Micah Parsons may have moved on from the Dallas Cowboys and their bitter contract standoff but his mother has not.

The linebacker finally forced his way out of the Lone Star State last week with a trade to the Green Bay Packers, who agreed to sign him to a four-year, $188 million contract, ending one of the longest and most bitter contract sagas of the offseason.

However, as his former team took to the field for the first time this season - and for the first time without him - his mom, Sherese, showed her true colors.

The Cowboys kick started their 2025 NFL season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night and while her son was not at Lincoln Financial Field, Sherese was.

Despite his trade, Parsons' mom was bizarrely in attendance at the Cowboys' opener in the City of Brotherly Love. And what's more she was decked out in Dallas merchandise.

Sherese was spotted at the Linc with Parson's grandmother, Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports. She is also said to have been sporting Cowboys apparel, but it is unclear if it was a Parsons jersey.

It's also unclear why she was rooting for the Cowboys or where she was there at all.

Parsons hails from Harrisburg, PA, 107 miles northwest of Philadelphia, making Sherese's backing of the Cowboys over the Eagles on Thursday even more confusing.

And that's without the recent tension between her son and America's team. The All-Pro pass rusher's bitter dispute in Dallas came to an end last week when he was sent to Lambeau Field.

The Packers gave up first-round picks in 2026 and 2027 along with three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark to get the two-time All-Pro edge rusher, who agreed to a contract extension with Green Bay.

Parsons was given a record-setting $188million, four-year contract that includes $136m guaranteed. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he offered Parsons more guaranteed money.

With his move to Green Bay, Parsons becomes the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

During his unveiling on Friday, Parsons said he went through the hardest four months of his life as he feared his contract stalemate with the Cowboys would stretch into the start of the season.

The life-changing news left Sherese in tears when the edge rusher broke the news to her last week.

Parsons posted the clip to his Instagram of him hugging his mother, who was visibly tearing up.

'That moment when (your) momma never got to work again!' Parsons captioned the Instagram story. 'God you are amazing!'

Meanwhile, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones approached Sherese, while making a strange dig at his now-former star's trade request just one week earlier.

Sherese and her All-Pro son were both at the Cowboys' final preseason game against the Falcons at AT&T Stadium, with Parson's mother wearing her son's No 11 jersey.

'Now Micah, why aren’t you out there playing?' Jerry Jones said to Sherese. 'You act like you want some money or something.'

Sherese did not appear upset with the comment, giving the 82-year-old Jones a big hug.
