Stephen A. Smith ripped both Jalen Carter and Dak Prescott for their spitting controversy stemming from the first snap from scrimmage of the NFL's season-opening showpiece game on Thursday.

Before the ball was hiked once in front of a international television audience, Carter was ejected from the NFC East showdown for marking his saliva on the Cowboys signal caller.

Video later showed Prescott spit first, although he did not land his discharge on Carter, and it looked to not be malicious.

Yet, Smith unloaded on both men on Friday, saying their actions were 'inexcusable.'

'Utterly disgusted... You don’t spit on anybody. You don’t spit on a man,' Smith said on 'First Take'.

His co-host, Molly Qerim interjected by saying no one should spit on a woman either, with Smith agreeing, and saying he was specifically talking about the NFL.

'Who’s the most protected football player on the field?' Smith continued. 'It’s the quarterback. You spit on Dak Prescott, and you don’t think some gonna see that. Just the dumbest possible thing.'

'When you spit on a quarterback and you get yourself ejected, Dak Prescott wasn’t sacked once last night. It happened because you weren’t out there, and the Philadelphia Eagles had to adjust without their best defensive player.'

'You walked off the field with a smile on your face. What the hell you smiling about? It was stupid. It was immature.'

Smith set his sights on Carter once more and mentioned how everyone forgot how he went from the top-rated prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft to the No 9 overall pick because of his off-the-field issues.

The night Georgia won its second straight national championship in January 2023, Davis got into a serious car crash, suspected of being a race, that killed two Bulldogs staff members.

Now, the domino effect for both Carter and Prescott will play out in front of the public eye.
