Troubled ex-NFL star Adam 'Pacman' Jones is seen unleashing a foul-mouthed tirade and throwing elbows at police officers in shocking new footage from his arrest earlier this month.

Jones, 41, was detained on multiple charges, including third-degree assault on a police officer, public intoxication, and second-degree disorderly conduct, in the Kentucky city of Covington on Saturday June 7.

The former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback's agent Peter Schaffer later accused cops of 'overzealous policing' and said his client 'did nothing wrong other than exercise his right to ask why he was being detained.'

Footage shared by Jones on social media also showed him asking officers why they were grabbing him, before one responded: 'Because you're walking away.'

Cops also accused him of 'intentionally' throwing an elbow at an officer's face during his detainment at Kenton County Detention Center just before 2am local time on Saturday.

Now police footage has appeared to back up that claim, with Jones captured throwing an elbow at an officer in a furious outburst after arriving at the detention center.

New police footage of former NFL star Adam 'Pacman' Jones being arrested has emerged

The 41-year-old, pictured in his mugshot, was detained on multiple charges on Saturday June 7

Jones was said to be 'causing annoyance' while intoxicated at a bar in Kentucky on the night

He was initially stopped in Covington to be questioned about a dispute at a nearby bar, and the bodycam video shows him becoming confrontational from the off.

After getting animated and trying to walk away, Jones eventually calmed down and explained his side of the story to officers, telling them he and his group were involved in a dispute with a bar worker.

Yet when he attempted to walk away again, cops placed him in cuffs.

While in custody the 2014 First-team All-Pro was heard using frequent profanities and insisting he'd done nothing wrong, before he was thrown in a car and taken to jail for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Upon arrival Jones continued to protest his innocence while endlessly telling cops not to touch him, with the video also capturing him shouting at cops 'shut the f*** up' and 'suck my d***'. He could also be heard calling one of them 'stupid' and a 'coward'.

And as he made his way into the detention center, it was at that point when 'Pacman' appeared to hit an officer with his elbow.

The cop in question is heard in the video saying 'my lip is bleeding' before a colleague later tells him that his lip looks 'swollen'.

Jones went on to say on his podcast that he didn't assault anybody, and claimed he had a 'real lawsuit' on his hands.

'Pacman' played in the NFL for 13 seasons for four teams and last played in the league in 2018

However, he also added that he was treated 'unbelievably good' by staff at Kenton County Detention Center.

Police documents state Jones was questioned by police outside of a Kentucky bar around 12:45am, cussing and displaying signs of drunkenness, including 'slurred speech' and 'glossy eyes'.

'Officers determined [Jones] to be a danger to himself and others in his current intoxicated state,' the documents stated. '[Jones] was causing annoyance and alarm to the pedestrians nearby.

Last weekend marked at least the fourth time since 2021 that Jones, who last played in the NFL in 2018, has been arrested and the second in almost seven months. In each of the past three years, he has been booked on a public intoxication charge.

The most serious incident in recent years came in 2021 when he plead no contest to two counts of misdemeanor accounts for an altercation at a Cincinnati bar. He ultimately served 18 days in jail, Hamilton County court records show.

He was released from jail at around 11:30am on Saturday after posting a $10,000 bond. Jones is due back in court on Wednesday.
