The extent of Joe Burrow's foot injury has been revealed after the Bengals quarterback was ruled out of his team's win over the Jaguars.

Burrow limped out of the game and went to the locker room after taking a sack in the second quarter.

Now, it's been reported by Fox 19's Jeremy Rauch that the passer has turf toe with torn ligaments.

Rauch added that the 'expectation' is that Burrow, 28, would miss several weeks of action.

Burrow was seen in pain roughly midway through the second quarter as he sat on the ground and received medical attention.

He had gone down moments before in awkward fashion after being sacked by Arik Armstead, causing him to slam his helmet on the ground in frustration.

He needed help to get to the locker room after suffering a foot injury on Sunday afternoon

He ultimately needed assistance to walk off of the field as he was replaced by backup Jake Browning.

Burrow was later spotted by reporters wearing a walking boot and using a single crutch in the locker room.

Browning was productive in relief of Burrow, throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns (against three interceptions) as Cincinnati pulled off a 31-27 win.

Burrow is two seasons removed from a ligament injury in his right wrist which cost him the final seven games of the year.

He was able to stay healthy for all 17 games last season, though the Bengals missed the playoffs as their defense consistently bled points.

Cincinnati have a difficult stretch of games coming up as they'll face the Vikings, Broncos, Lions and Packers over the next four weeks.

Burrow wasn't the only quarterback to get injured on Sunday as Jets quarterback Justin Fields was taken out of the game with a concussion

Fields struggled badly during his team's 30-10 loss to Buffalo before being replaced by Tyrod Taylor due to his injury.
