Eagles fans are calling for the head of new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo following a humbling 34-17 loss to the Giants on Thursday night.

Patullo, formerly the team's passing game coordinator/associate head coach, was promoted to the role in February after Kellen Moore became the head coach of the Saints.

And the early returns have certainly been underwhelming for the defending champions, as Philly is averaging just 23.7 points per game - 17th in the league - following their loss to their NFC East rivals on Thursday.

Star running back Saquon Barkley is also averaging just over 54 rushing yards per game, with the All-Pro yet to have a breakout game this season.

And after the Eagles second loss in as many weeks, plenty of fans expressed their desire for Patullo to be fired.

'Ok, I'm ready to fire Kevin Patullo . What the hell are we watching,' one wrote.

'Kevin Patullo being our OC is like handing the keys of a Ferrari to a 5 year old. The dude doesnt know what the f*** hes doing. Fire him,' another raged.

'Kevin Patullo literally has 13 plays in his playbook,' a third said.

And a fourth added: 'Now everyone wants Kevin patullo fired. I've been saying this since week 2. He does not know how to make adjustments or even scheme. He's horrible and should have never been hired. Give us [Dolphins coach] Mike McDaniel.'

Even offensive lineman Lane Johnson took a shot at the offensive play-calling, telling reporter that the offense had become too predictable.

'Last two weeks, you kind of know what it is: You know when the pass is coming, you know when the run is coming... Moving forward, we've got to do a better job of that.

A.J. Brown, meanwhile, has cut a frustrated figure at times due to his lack of involvement in the offense, and said after the loss: 'We're still trying to find our identity.'

He was more involved on Thursday as quarterback Jalen Hurts targeted him nine times, though Hurts threw a crucial interception in the fourth quarter with the team at the Giants' nine-yard line.

On the other side of the ball, the Giants offense thrived as rookie passer Jaxson Dart impressed yet again and rookie running back Cam Skattebo punched in three touchdowns.

Patullo and the Eagles' offense will try and get back on track next week at the Vikings.
