The Cincinnati Bengals have added two quarterbacks to their practice squad after backup Jake Browning led the team to a Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in lieu of the injured Joe Burrow.
As first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cincinnati has added quarterbacks Sean Clifford and Mike White to their practice squad, which already includes journeyman backup Brett Rypien.
Burrow is expected to miss at least three months following toe surgery, which became necessary after he was hurt in the second quarter of Sunday's win. It's unclear which of the new quarterbacks, if any of them, will be promoted to the team's 53-man roster.
A Cincinnati native who attended local high-school football powerhouse St. Xavier, Clifford spent two years with the packers after being drafted out of Penn State in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

And it was reported early on Monday morning that surgery will be required, leaving him sidelined indefinitely - and at least until mid-December.
Jags defensive end Arik Armstead brought Burrow down in the second quarter on Sunday in Cincinnati. The 28-year-old former first-overall pick was helped off the field and into the locker room, but was initially listed as ‘questionable’ to return.
The Bengals ultimately won the game despite three interceptions from Browning, who also tossed a pair of touchdowns on the day. In the end, it was his 1-yard touchdown run that capped the dramatic win with just 18 seconds remaining.
