MLB legend David Ortiz left his co-stars stunned after mentioning Adolf Hitler during their recent live broadcast.

Ortiz was on duty for Fox's postgame show following the New York Yankees' dramatic 9-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday evening.

During their analysis, the crew discussed the impact of rookie right-hander Cam Schlittler - before the conversation quickly focused on pronouncing his last name.

Ortiz challenged co-hosts Alex Rodriguez, Kevin Burkhardt and Derek Jeter to say Schlittler's name, which they did with ease.

However, when Ortiz was asked to do the same, he joked: 'It sounds like Hitler'.

Though they did burst into laughter, Ortiz's co-hosts looked visibly uncomfortable and swiftly called to go to commercials after the awkward incident.

Ortiz continued: 'Cam... I'm going Cam. I'm going Cam. Don't want to get in trouble.'

Burkhardt even said: 'You just call him Cam. And maybe it'll be Mr. Cam, depending on how he pitches tomorrow.'

While Ortiz and rest of the crew attempted to laugh off the awkward moment, fans quickly went to social media to question the bizarre conversation.

In response, one said: 'David Ortiz is the most akward mlb presenter in the history of presenters'.

'why would he say that? [crying emoji]', another said.

Meanwhile, one brutally wrote: 'Absolutely a totally insensitive, irresponsible comment by Papi. He should've been fired during the commercial break. You don't make jokes using that scumbag's name…EVER!'

The Yankees kept their season alive on Tuesday as Aaron Judge inspired the team to its biggest-ever comeback in an elimination game.

In a must-win ALDS Game 3 against the Blue Jays, the Yankees found themselves five runs down before rallying to a 9-6 win helped by a tying home run from Judge in the fourth inning.

Fans were quick to voice their confusion at the bizarre remark from the former MLB star

All in all, he delivered a massively clutch performance as he drove in four runs in front of a raucous Yankee Stadium crowd - which included Bad Bunny in the stands.

The Puerto Rican musician, who was recently selected to do next year's Super Bowl halftime show , was spotted sitting behind home plate.

Bad Bunny - real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio - was even seen catching a foul ball during the game in a wild moment which has since gone viral.

Blue Jays star Anthony Santander stepped up to the plate and popped a foul ball into the stands behind him, which is exactly where the Super Bowl singer was sat.
