Drake's next big swing with sports gambling has targeted the US Open and men's No 1 seed Jannik Sinner, with the Canadian rapper marking the subject of his latest big-money bet.

Sinner has been backed to win the tournament with a $300,000 bet from the 'Hotline Bling' performer, which would have a payout of $507,000, as the Italian is the favorite to take home the crown.

Drake has a long history of sports betting, with plenty of loses on his gambling resume.

His loyalty to Canada's teams and biggest native sons has been evident throughout his bets, including a $300k loss last year on the Canada men's national soccer team to defeat Lionel Messi and Argentina in the semifinals of Copa America

Also last year, Billboard's Artist of the 2010s threw a combined $1million down on the Dallas Mavericks to win an NBA title alongside snapping Canada's Stanley Cup drought with a Edmonton Oilers triumph. Neither happened.

Drake's current net worth is around $250million, but throwing $1million down the drain on two bets still stings.

Drake bet $300,000 on world No 1 Jannik Sinner to win the men's singles US Open crown

Sinner is the draw's favorite, playing in the quarterfinals on Wednesday night in New York City

Drake posted the betting slip to his Instagram page, with a payout of $507,000 on the line

In May 2024, Drake dropped $565,000 on Tyson Fury to topple Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia. The undisputed heavyweight showdown ended in a split-decision loss for Fury, however, the first of his professional career.

For the 2022 World Cup Final, Drake put down $1million on Messi and Argentina to win over France, which would have been a good bet if it covered extra time. He lost the money with the penalty-kick victory.

The rapper also lost a six-figure sum after Anthony Joshua's knockout win over Francis Ngannou in March 2024, and another $700,000 after Dricus Du Plessis beat Sean Strickland at UFC 297.

He also lost $550,000 when Israel Adesanya suffered a shock defeat against Strickland in the Octagon and previously bet $890,000 on Logan Paul to beat Dillon Danis in the boxing ring.

Paul was victorious, proving a Drake sports bet doesn't always result in an instant defeat.

Sinner is the defending US Open champion and will play in the quarterfinals on Wednesday night against fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
