Dave Portnoy kicked off the debut of FS1's new morning show by making a stunning claim about his coaching ability - before being ripped into by fans on social media.
Portnoy was joined by Rico Bosco, Brandon Walker, and Jason Williams for Wake Up Barstool, where the quartet discussed everything happening in the football world.
During their conversation, the Barstool boss wildly suggested that he could be one of the best offensive minds in football and took aim at current NFL coaches.
He said: 'I think I'd be one of the great offensive minds in the history of the game.
'I honestly think, play‑calling, I'm smarter than 99% of the play‑callers. I may not be X's and O's and pulling guards…'
As his co-hosts chuckled, Walker then challenged him: 'You'd be one of the best play callers but don't understand pulling guards?'

Insane: Dave Portnoy believes he could be one of the greatest offensive minds in football history if he were a coach.

Portnoy countered: 'I may not be X's and O's but I'm saying; 'hey it's third and seven and I can tell the flow of this game and I know they're going to blitz and I know if we run a little draw play, it's going to pop for 10 yards.'
'A lot of these guys have dumps in their pants calling plays. They're so nervous about screwing up. They don't think outside the box.
'And like, how many times you sit there and say, 'What stupid play call? How dumb are you? Why are you running the ball up the middle on third‑and‑two when they have 13 guys in the box?'
'I could do pass, run, where are we going. I think better than 99% of play callers.'
It didn't take long for social media to begin ripping into him for the claim, with one user reposting the clip and writing: 'Insane: Dave Portnoy believes he could be one of the greatest offensive minds in football history if he were a coach.
'Portnoy has ZERO experience as a coach'.
Another fan wrote: 'I would love to see him do it just to see his expectations just get demolished'.
'With as sensitive as Portnoy is, he’s better off sticking to pizza', another said.
Fans on social media were quick to rip into Portnoy for the wild claim
Even Portnoy's co-hosts questioned Portnoy as he tried to explain his rationale
'The problem nobody on that set could ask him 1 question that would have shown how ridiculous that statement is!! Literally a football show with zero football knowledge on the set!', one user wrote.
Meanwhile, Portnoy made an explosive debut on Fox's 'Big Noon Kickoff' on Saturday, trolling Ohio State fans by marching out and singing Michigan's fight song before calling their jersey 'toilet paper'.
The Barstool Sports chief was making his first appearance on the show as part of the massive deal his company signed with Fox Sports during the offseason.
Fox's decision to hire Portnoy appeared as a counter move to Pat McAfee being on ESPN's 'College GameDay' and rival the long-standing Saturday preview show.
Tension has bubbled away in the build up to his first show amid claims Portnoy has been banned from Ohio State's stadium for the game because of his long-running animosity towards the team.
Portnoy is a huge Michigan Wolverines fan and regularly trolls their bitter Big 10 rivals, who take on the No. 1 Texas Longhorns in a mouthwatering game on Saturday.
And Portnoy twisted the knife on Saturday morning when he walked out onto the stage singing 'The Victors' before cutting a wrestling-style promo to vent at Buckeyes fans.
