NFL fans baffled as Amazon cuts from commercial to discuss Tyreek Hill domestic abuse allegations mid-game

NFL fans were stunned and surprised after Amazon Prime decided to address Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill's accusations of domestic violence at an awkward time.

The broadcast of Dolphins-Bills went to a commercial break about midway through the fourth quarter.

Then, immediately coming out of the break, sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung began reading a report about Hill's allegations without any kind of prompting from the booth of Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit.

As the camera was trained on Hill standing on the sidelines, Hartung said, 'The NFL is investigating accusations of domestic violence against Tyreek Hill. In filings made earlier this month related to his divorce, Hill's ex-wife alleges he was violent with her on eight separate occasions dating back to January 2024.

'He's denied this and has not been charged criminally. In 2015, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges stemming from his time at Oklahoma State.'

Hartung tossed back to the booth where Michaels thanked her before saying, 'He's no stranger to off-the-field stuff.'

Randomly coming from a break, Prime decided to have a sideline reporter talk about Tyreek Hill’s DV case that is being investigated 😳

Don’t know why we need to be talking about that right now, I understand it’s important, but lets keep that outside of the game.

Fans were caught off guard by how sudden the discussion of Hill's alleged misdeeds were - especially considering there was no warning or lead-in to the discussion.

'Bro I was shocked hearing that s**t live,' said one user on X.

One Dolphins fan noted, 'The timing on it was really strange, almost as if they got all the way to the end of the game and remembered they hadn't talked about it yet.'

'That was really awkward,' noted one user. Another said, 'Yall heard that s**t too that was insane.'

'this man can’t go a season without a new allegation like someone had to talk about it,' another post read.

Hill's estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro filed for divorce on April 7 - one day after police responded to reports of an 'assault in progress' at their home.

The Dolphins wide receiver, who is believed to have as many as 10 kidswas not arrested following the incident, though Vaccaro's mother Alesia said he had acted 'aggressive and impulsive' after he allegedly hurled a laptop to the floor.

Divorce court documents obtained by TMZ have accused Hill of domestic violence on several occasions, including when Vaccaro was pregnant with their baby daughter Capri. He is also accused of spitting at her on one occasion.

Hill has been accused of abusing his wife on eight separate occasions and even spitting on her

The documents are part of the couple's ongoing divorce case. Through his attorney, Hill has denied the allegations and called them a 'smear campaign.'

The probe has not effected Hill's availability for any NFL games so far this season as the league continues to investigate the situation.

The couple wed in November 2023, but Vaccaro has alleged that Hill began getting physical with her just two months later in January 2024.

Vaccaro, the brother of former New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro, said things escalated at a guest house in Southwest Ranches, Florida during a conversation about a postnuptial agreement.

Keeta alleged that Hill 'shoved her to the floor, stood over her, and then ripped off her necklace, causing a cut and a bruise,' TMZ wrote.

The violence continued in the subsequent weeks, as Hill allegedly attacked her while the pair were in Orlando.

In that case, Vaccaro claims, the NFL star threw her to the floor, ripped her hair out and 'twist[ed] her intimate body parts.'

In February 2024, Hill allegedly abused Vaccaro again, as he is said to have 'shoved' a marijuana cigarette in Vaccaro's face as they were preparing to leave for the Pro Bowl in Orlando.

Hill then 'told her to get her suitcase and get out of the house...  threw [her] suitcase out the door and threw [her] out the door, locking it behind her.'

The couple officially separated on April 7 of this year.

Vaccaro's attorney, Evan Marks, told Daily Mail in an email that his client 'has sworn that the allegations contained therein are true and correct.'

'Evidence will be presented to a Jury who will then decide whether Ms. Vaccaro is entitled to be compensated for the damages that she sustained due to the conduct of Mr. Hill as alleged in the Verified Amended Petition,' he continued.

'Unlike Mr. Hill and the four (4) law firms representing him, Ms. Vaccaro and her attorneys, Evan Marks and Carolyn West of the law firm of Marks & West, P.A., prefer not to litigate the case in the media and therefore, currently have no further comment.'

Daily Mail did not hear from the Dolphins and Hill's legal team when asking for comment around the time the NFL's investigation had been revealed.

Hill's attorney told TMZ: 'These new allegations are further proof that Ms. Vacarro and/or her counsel are set on partaking in a smear campaign in hopes that Mr. Hill will settle and give she and her counsel an unreasonable and unwarranted amount of money. Mr. Hill will not be moved by this and awaits his day in court to present his evidence.'
