Jason and Travis Kelce came in close contact with a black bear while playing in the opening round of their star-studded celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe Friday.
The scary incident, caught in photos taken by DailyMail.com, occurred as the high-profile NFL pair prepared to tee off on the 16th hole, when fans spotted the bear just behind the tee box.
Play was temporarily halted as fans took videos and photos of the animal, which was behind a fence but came close to spectators who were out in their thousands watching the golf tournament at Edgewood.
In a scary twist, the bear scare comes just days after one was euthanized just a few miles away after attacking a camper at a site in South Lake Tahoe.
As reported by ABC10, the female black bear had been known for multiple home invasions and vehicle break-ins, and it entered an occupied trailer at 4:30am and swiped at the sleeping camper.
Designated a 'public safety bear', it was then killed by a State Parks ranger and its two cubs were taken to a Northern California wildlife rehabilitation facility.

Thankfully for the Kelce brothers, there was no need for such action on Friday as the bear then made its way away from the tee box and left the players to continue their first round of the competition.
On the course, it wasn't particularly plain sailing for either Travis or Jason, who were both struggling in the bottom half of the leaderboard after the first round.
Jason is tied 83rd of 90 players, while Chiefs star Travis is not much higher in 70th.
At the other end of the scoring charts, the tournament leaders are former NBA star Vinny del Negro and ice hockey legend Joe Pavelski, while Steph Curry sits third.

Aaron Rodgers also enjoyed an impressive first day on the course, and is tied for 10th position with two full days of competition still to play.
There was no sight of Taylor Swift out on the course for day one, but fans remain convinced that the pop superstar will surface at some point over the weekend.
Rumors have surfaced that Kelce and Swift have a secret 'event' planned in the Tahoe area, but it remains to be seen whether that will be the case.
On Thursday night, the Kelce brothers wowed fans when they jumped on stage for a karaoke session - with Jason later admitting they'd had some tips from Taylor herself.
