Terence Crawford, born on September 28, 1987, in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S., began his professional boxing career at the age of 20. He made his debut on March 14, 2008, against Brian Cummings, stopping him with a first-round knockout.

By the time he had fought 23 times, Crawford, then 26 years old, captured his first world title. On March 1, 2014, he defeated Ricky Burns via a 12-round unanimous decision to claim the WBO lightweight championship.

Since then, he has gone on to become the first male fighter to be crowned the undispited champion in two different weight classes.

Canelo Alvarez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, on July 18, 1990. He turned professional at just 15 years old, making his debut on October 29, 2005, against Abraham Gonzalez and earning a fourth-round TKO victory.

At 20 years old, in his 37th professional fight, Canelo captured his first world title. On March 5, 2011, he defeated Matthew Hatton by unanimous decision over 12 rounds to claim the vacant WBC super-welterweight (junior middleweight) championship.

Since then, Canelo has gone on to become a world champion across four weight divisions: super welterweight, middleweight, super middleweight, and light heavyweight. He is also undispiuted in the super middleweight division.
