The Australian racing industry is mourning the death of trainer Leanne Hartley after she was struck by a horse in a freak accident.
Emergency services were called to an address in Beaudesert, south of Brisbane, around 11.30am on Wednesday.
Hartley, 50, sustained life-threatening injuries after reportedly being kicked by the horse.
She was declared dead at the scene in the Scenic Rim Region and Queensland Police have advised Hartley's death will be deemed accidental.
The respected trainer ran a boutique team of horses, with one starter Crackenthorpe a two-time winner on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Racing Queensland Acting CEO Lachlan Murray offered his sincerest condolences to Hartley's family and friends, before stating 'our thoughts are with them during this tragic time.'

'We expect every participant to be able to come home safe and sound,' he added.
'It is heartbreaking that we have lost one of our own.'
The Australian Trainers' Association was also deeply saddened to hear of Hartley's passing.
'At this time, our thoughts are with Leanne's family, friends, and those close to her,' a statement read.
'We extend our sincere condolences as they navigate this difficult period.
'The racing community shares in their sorrow and offers support to those who mourn her loss.'
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and also assisting Workplace Health and Safety Queensland with their ongoing investigation.
