Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim returned to the club's training complex on Friday morning to begin work ahead of pre-season.
Amorim was all smiles as he reported for duty at Carrington after enjoying time in his native Portugal, and he was soon joined by his coaching staff.
Clad in a white t-shirt and light chinos, the 40-year-old took the time to shake hands with reporters behind the cameras before being filmed making his way inside.
The head coach appeared to be the first to arrive on site but he was quickly followed by his trusted lieutenants, including No 2 Carlos Fernandes.
United's players are due back from their summer holidays on Monday, while others will report back later in the week, and Amorim appeared keen to get a head start.
He was afforded around a month off, having guided his side through a gruelling post-season trip to Asia shortly after their final Premier League game.

Amorim will now begin planning for jet-setting United's pre-season schedule, which gets underway with a showdown against Leeds in Stockholm on July 19.
A few days later, United will then fly out to the United States for the Premier League Summer Series. There, they will face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton. The Red Devils will finish off their preparations against Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.
Speaking at the end of May, Amorim admitted he was keen to spend some quality time with his family - but he had already allowed his mind to wander to next season.
'Of course, [I'm going] to spend time with my family,' he said. 'But, like I said in the press conference, I am ready to start the next one. We have a lot to do.
'A lot to prepare. We have to think of the squad and we are changing the building. It needs to be that everything is ready for the new season.'
United have only signed one player so far this summer, securing forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a deal worth £62.5million. They are, however, continuing to push for Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo after seeing two bids knocked back.
Amorim will also have to make decisions over the futures of his current crop.
Mail Sport reported earlier on Friday that Marcus Rashford is expecting to play a full part in pre-season when he returns to Carrington for training on Monday. The development comes despite his relationship with Amorim souring last season.

Marcus Rashford will return for training and will give '100 per cent' during pre-season
Fellow outcast Jadon Sancho is also expected back shortly after his Chelsea loan stint
Sources close to Rashford say he has no issue returning and will 'give 100 per cent'.
He is valued at £40million and his representatives have held talks with Barcelona, who may prefer a loan move. Rashford has also been linked with Bayern Munich.
Jadon Sancho will also report back next week after Chelsea decided to pay a £5m penalty rather than sign him permanently after an underwhelming loan stint.
Fellow outcasts Antony and Tyrell Malacia are also expected back on Monday.
