NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal produced a stunning selfless act for a group of high school girls during a visit to a dress shop on Staten Island.

The four-time NBA champion was spotted by the shop owner as he was walking around Dongan Hills area of Staten Island at the start of the month.

According to the owner of the dress shop, O'Couture, O'Neal asked whether the boutique owner whether it had a restroom that he could use.

Once discovering that there was, O'Neal ambled through the front door, much to the delight of a group of high school girls who were trying on dresses.

The four-time NBA champion took time to chat, laugh and take pictures with the group before later offering to pay for all their dresses.

The heartwarming moment was caught on camera and later posted onto O'Couture's Instagram page.

The shop owner took to Instagram to reveal that O'Neal 'paid for dresses for every customer'

The caption read: 'LOOK WHO’S IN THE HOUSE TODAY! @shaq the ONE & ONLY stopped into @o_coutureboutique_ today.

'We don’t lie when we say this is the best place to be in NYC. With Shaq in the building everyone gets a dress!!

'Thank you for coming in and truly making the employees and customers day! Always a fun day here a O’Couture'.

Taking to their Instagram just days later, the shop owner admitted that they were still 'pinching' themselves over the fact O'Neal had popped his head in.

They wrote: 'Still pinching ourselves after this unforgettable moment! In true Shaq fashion, he didn’t just stop by… he paid for dresses for every customer in the store.

While the group of women tried on a range of the boutique dresses, O'Neal stood in flannel pajama pants and a plain, navy blue t-shirt.

The former NBA star has kept busy since his retirement and is typically an analyst on TNT's Inside the NBA.

However, the 7 foot 1 inch star was recently spotted on set for an Amazon Prime show, where he showed off his shooting skills - but not the ones you'd expect.

The NBA legend was recently seen on set for Amazon Prime Video show 'Gravesend'

O'Neal was spotted on set for TV show 'Gravesend', in footage obtained by TMZ, in yet another career venture away from basketball.

In a clip captured by the outlet, O'Neal - who was dressed like a mob boss - was seen turning a corner, brandishing a gun and firing shots at a man laying on the ground.

It goes without saying that the NBA legend didn't fire real shots at his fellow actor and instead, in the clip, a 'click' sound could be heard as he pulled the trigger.

The man on the ground could be heard shouting expletives towards O'Neal before the former Laker ruthlessly shot his gang rival in the show.

The outlet claim that O'Neal will be taking on the character of 'Mustafa' in the hit series, which has entered it's third season.
