A glamorous TV reporter has given an insight into the painful injury which she suffered while covering an MLB game.

FOX Sports North's Audra Martin is a regular on the sideline for the Minnesota Twins or Minnesota Wild for the TV network.

However, during a recent visit to a Twins game, she was hit in the abdomen by a wayward ball and later took to Instagram to reveal the damage which it had done.

Martin shared a side-by-side of her midsection - one from 'one day' after the incident and the other 'five days later' - and showed off the immense bruising and swelling.

In a caption to the post, she wrote: 'Ever wondered what a line drive foul ball to the gut looks like??

'Thankfully I'm kinda squishy in the midsection... That's probably the only time I've ever said that!'
