Ex-NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky has revealed the truth behind the wild golf course fight that went viral on social media.
At the start of July, Tarnasky and his friends were seen involved in a shock brawl with a rival group at Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer - with the former Florida Panther seemingly upset with how long the opposing group is taking to play.
Footage of the incident showed Tarnasky arguing with one of the rival group members - revealed to be Trevor Ogilvie - before a physical confrontation broke out.
The fight, however, was incredibly one-sided as Tarnasky quickly tossed the Ogilvie into the water - much to the shock of his rival's friends.
Incredibly, Ogilvie crawled out of the water and continued to challenge Tarnasky, however, the ex-enforcer landed five punches to his rival's head before tossing him towards the lake once again.
In the days that have followed, Ogilvie broke his silence over the matter and now former Panther star Tarnasky has done the same.

Former NHL enforcer Tarnasky was seen fighting a man on a golf course in a viral clip
Speaking on the 'Spittin' Chiclets' podcast, Tarnasky said: 'At the end of the day, I asked him not to, told him he shouldn't get involved with me.
'I asked him to move on, I gave him every opportunity not to, and he charged at me. I'm not going to fold over, that's not my nature.'
Tarnasky went on to claim that Ogilvie had been taking 20-25 minutes to play each hole, before the ex-NHL star confronted him on Hole 15.
'That instantly set him off,' Tarnasky claimed. 'He's doing the fist-clenching and the pumping his arms, and that's where the altercation starts that's on the video.'
Tarnasky then claimed that he attempted to diffuse the situation with the light-hearted threat of throwing his rival into the lake - before that actually transpired.
'If I hear I'm going to get thrown in the pond by this f***ing mutant, maybe I'm going to chill out,' he said. 'I thought maybe that could be a fun way to be like, 'You guys are in the wrong, let's speed things up.'
Tarnasky also opened up on the reaction to the clip. He said: 'It's nice to hear from damn near every single teammate I've played with for 13-14 years of my life. Guys are fired up.'
Ogilvie previously broke his silence over the incident and admitted that his 'mouth ran faster his brain' as he reflected on the viral moment.
Trevor Ogilvie, the Canadian man who was seen being pummeled and tossed in a golf course lake by Tarnasky, recently broke his silence about the viral video
‘Yup, that’s me, guys,’ Ogilvie began his self-shot video, ‘the guy that got dropped like a bucket of balls in a pond.
‘Not my finest moment, I know,’ Ogilvie said on Instagram. ‘Looks real bad. Played 36 holes of golf. Drank way too much and my mouth ran faster than my brain.
‘All jokes aside, guys, I’d like to apologize to all the folks on the course, anyone caught up in it and anyone who had to deal with me that day. I lost my cool and I learned from it. Just one of those days where you should have kept the cart on the path.’
Ogilvie ended his message by telling followers: ‘Stay hydrated, keep your stick on the ice, maybe stick to 18.’
Despite the mauling, Ogilvie appears to have only suffered a black eye.
'Just a tiny lil black eye thats it thats all boys,' he wrote on Reddit.
Tarnasky, a the 40-year-old Under-17 coach, appears to be avoiding any penalty for the fight.
