Brad Pitt's interview with Sky Sports at the premiere of his new Formula One film 'F1' was gatecrashed by a star of the sport on the back of his win at the weekend.
Pitt was in Times Square in New York for the launch of the film, which has been in production over the last several months and has resulted in Pitt being seen at a number of races on the calendar this year.
Pitt, Javier Bardem and Damson Idris all star in the new movie, which tells the story of an ex-Formula One driver as he makes a comeback to partner new team mate Joshua Pearce at the fictional team.
The real life drivers rubbed shoulders with the big names of the silver screen on Monday evening at a glamourous reception before the film was shown.
And Pitt took to the microphone for an interview with Sky, but his interview was cut off almost instantly as George Russell interrupted to greet the American.
As Pitt was being asked a question, Russell approached him for an embrace, and Pitt said: 'I'm sorry, but what a weekend, dude.'

Pitt was joined by a number of drivers from the sport - including Lewis Hamilton - in Times Square on Monday
The film - which was filmed at several real-life tracks - will be released later this month
Russell responded: 'You good?' and Pitt then added: 'It was so fun to watch,' in reference to Russell's victory at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday.
McLaren star Russell then went onto point out how the two had matching salmon shirts, and Pitt joked that the two had been texting to arrange to match.
He ended the conversation with: 'A real pleasure' as the Brit left the scene.
Then speaking to Sky, Pitt said: 'Can you believe they even let us in? It's insane. They let us in the world, race weekends, embed ourselves in the season, I have never heard anything like it.
'We drew from history. A little this, a little that, then we had Lewis Hamilton keep us straight. I love this movie, I think it wins on so many levels, I love sports movies and racing movies - when they work, and we think we are there.'
Lando Norris, meanwhile, cut a slightly lonelier figure than his fellow Formula One stars, as most of the grid and their glamourous partners hit the red carpet in New York.
While many of the drivers and actors turned up at the A-list event in Times Square with their other halves for a mass date night, Norris flew solo without girlfriend Margarida Corceiro on his arm.
Norris, 25, put on a brave face and appeared to enjoy the event regardless - despite his calamity at the Canadian Grand Prix at the weekend that saw him crash into team-mate Oscar Piastri and out of the race.

Corceiro, a model and actress from Portugal, has had an on-off relationship with Norris
Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux (left) and Liam Lawson and Hannah St. John (right) were among the many couples present at the premiere
He was without the company of girlfriend Corceiro, a 22-year-old Portuguese actress and model with two million Instagram followers.
Norris and Corceiro were first seen together in 2023 following her break-up with Chelsea star Joao Felix and she's attended a number of races to watch her boyfriend in action.
Norris and Corceiro continued to attend events together throughout much of 2024 before reports claimed that the pair had ended their short-term relationship.
Confirming the news ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Norris coolly stated on-stage amidst a packed crowd after being asked if he would like a dog: 'If I do I need a girlfriend, and I don't have one.'
However, it appeared the pair have rekindled their romance after Corceiro was spotted by TV cameras during qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix in May.
She was absent on Monday night from the premiere but at least Norris was not the only driver flying solo, with Lewis Hamilton also turning up unaccompanied.
