Aaron Rodgers will miss Sunday's huge clash with the Chicago Bears, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has confirmed.
The 41-year-old quarterback suffered a small fracture in his left wrist in last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals but Rodgers had been pushing to play at Soldier Field.
Rodgers had been questionable for the game and he made rivals and reporters wait by keeping his left hand in his pocket as he arrived in Chicago.
The quarterback even flipped off a couple of cameras that filmed him as he took a wander around Soldier Field, according to reports.
But around two hours before kickoff, Tomlin provided 'complete clarity' on the 41-year-old's status.
'He's not going to play today,' Tomlin told CBS. 'He fought his tail off all week but that's the prudent play to make for us.'

Backup Mason Rudolph will start for the Steelers in place of Rodgers, who was back in practice on Thursday and Friday - despite his injury.
On Sunday, the four-time MVP was spotted wearing a stabilizer on his left wrist, a week after he landed on his hand as he was tackled against the Bengals.
The 41-year-old remained under center for one more play before heading to the sidelines. Rudolph came on to replace Rodgers who, according to Fox Sports, is expected to return next week.
Pittsburgh is currently 6-4 and sitting top of the AFC North. But defeat to the Bears would leave them with just a 32 percent chance of reaching the postseason.
That is according to the NFL's own data, which also show that the Bears - who sit on 7-3 - face a fight to secure their spot in the playoffs.
