AFL bad boy Mitch Robinson has kicked the biggest goal of his life after his partner Emily Roqica said yes when he dropped to one knee in a touching surprise beachside proposal.
Robinson, a Carlton and Brisbane great who played 247 games in the AFL, wasn't known for his gentle or tender-hearted persona in his playing days.
But he definitely showed off his romantic side in the touching scenes at Marcoola Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
The 36-year-old took to social media to reveal footage and photos of the moment his fiancée, Emily Roqica, agreed to be his wife.
'Here’s to you, Mrs Robinson. I’m not crying, you’re crying… #engaged,' the post read.
The video of the proposal shows that Roqica was caught completely by surprise.

The elaborate proposal required a lot of planning in order for Robinson to pull off the perfect surprise
'Honestly you do make me so happy.... I would love nothing more, than if you would be my future wife', Robinson said in the video.
'Will you marry me, Emily Roqica?'
The former AFL star's shocked partner replied quickly with 'yes!' and choked back tears.
She regained her composure quickly, as her two children and Robinson's three kids joined the pair in their celebrations.
The ambush required a lot of planning by 'Robbo', who put up an Instagram story with the caption, 'Proposing was the easy part, bribing the kids not to slip up for weeks after getting their blessing was pure torment.'
On Tuesday, Roqica showed off a photo of her engagement ring and wrote, 'The amount of effort and thought put into every detail of that moment for us, showed me how deeply he loves. To love you and be loved by you will be my greatest blessing.'
The news was met with many supportive comments on social media.
'Bring on the roqica X robinson wed,' one Instagram user wrote.

The pair made their relationship Instagram official early last year, and have been together since.
Other close family and friends were in attendance for the post-engagement celebrations.
Robinson developed a reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the field during his controversial career.
His kamikaze style of play made him a fan favourite, but also saw him become a regular at the tribunal.
Robinson got into hot water in 2014 when it was revealed he lied about sustaining a fractured eye socket in an early-morning brawl involving teammate Jeff Garlett.
He eventually revealed he was trying to protect Garlett and was 'king hit' when they became embroiled in a brawl at 5am in Melbourne's CBD.
