A talented Central Queensland teenager is being remembered as a 'bright light' who was 'admired by everyone' after a tragic accident at Callide Dam.
Seventeen-year-old rising motocross star and footy player Eran Ross went missing on Wednesday evening while paddleboarding with friends and was found deceased by police divers the following afternoon.
The Rockhampton Motocross Club paid tribute with a lap of honour on Saturday, led by his close friend Noah Fletcher.
Queensland Police confirmed, 'A 17-year-old boy has been located deceased this afternoon, 30 October, after police conducted a search and rescue operation at Callide Dam.'
Inspector Ben Wiltshire said, 'He was at the dam with some other boys, they were having fun in the dam as young men will.
'There's nothing to suggest they were doing anything wrong. It's just a tragic accident that's happened in the dam.'

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
'It's devastating news when something like this happens,' Inspector Wiltshire said.
The Central Queensland Motocross Series led a chorus of tributes for the teenager who was well-loved in the local community.
'It's with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our CQMX young competitors, Eran Ross,' the group posted to social media
'Eran was so much more than part of our CQ family, he was a bright light, a kind soul, and a young man who brought warmth, laughter, and friendship wherever he went.
'His presence touched so many lives, and his loss is felt deeply by all who knew him.
'We are truly heartbroken, but incredibly grateful for the time, memories, and moments we were lucky enough to share with him.
'Our thoughts, love, and deepest condolences are with Eran's family, friends, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Gladstone Motorcycles also paid tribute to Eran on social media.
'We are deeply saddened by the passing of Eran,' they posted.
'We extend our heartfelt condolences to his father, Tommy, as well as to his family and friends during this time of profound loss.
'Eran was a well-mannered and respectful young man, admired by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
'He will be deeply missed by all.
'Rest in peace, Eran.'
