Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic didn't appear to be in the holiday spirit when he was questioned about Thanksgiving this week.

The Nuggets are sitting third in the Western Conference early on in the 2025 season but it appears the center didn't have much to be thankful for.

When asked by reporters about the holiday this week, the Serbian offered a rather blunt and unenthusiastic response.

The 30-year-old was asked what he had to be thankful for on Thursday's festive holiday, but he appeared to struggle to muster an answer.

'What am I thankful for? Oh my god,' Jokic said before trailing off and rubbing his face.

The clip then cut off, leaving it unclear whether Jokic expanded on his response.

Yet, the abrupt response left fans in stitches on social media as many empathized with the NBA superstar.

'Jokic is us at thanksgiving dinner attempting to answer third cousins small talk,' one joked.

'Jokic's face is my reaction to every small talk question on Thanksgiving,' another wrote, responding to the viral clip.

'Same energy as when Aunt Karen asks about your love life,' a third hilariously added.

'This man does not care about an American holiday,' claimed another.

Meanwhile, a fifth suggested Jokic had other priorities, posting: 'Bro just wants to get home and binge Stranger Things, but these reporters keep dragging it out.'

Jokic has once again inserted himself into the NBA's MVP conversation, averaging 29.6 points on 62.6 percent shooting, 12.8 rebounds and a league-leading 11.1 assists per game.

The Nuggets sit just behind the Los Angeles Lakers in the west, with the reigning NBA champions the Oklahoma City Thunder top of the conference.

While Jokic will be able to sit back and enjoy Thanksgiving - whether he cares or not - Denver is back in action on Black Friday, facing the San Antonio Spurs in the Group Stage of the NBA Cup.
