It's take two for Tyrod Taylor, with Justin Fields demoted as the New York Jets quarterback for the second time this season.

Head coach Aaron Glenn informed both players of the move on Monday morning, which ESPN reported first. The Jets face the Baltimore Ravens this weekend on the road.

Glenn tried to swap Fields for Taylor earlier this season and it backfired dramatically.

Taylor ended up hurting his knee in practice after being told that he was No 1, so Fields came back in as the starter and led the Jets to their first win of the season by beating the Cincinnati Bengals.

After a bye week, Fields won another game when the Jets beat the Browns at MetLife Stadium but last Thursday, it was a dire display in the 27-14 loss to New England Patriots.

And it appears that has prompted Glenn to try again with Taylor, somone he has spoken of highly before in the season.
