Michael Strahan went above and beyond in his bid to make up for last year's Veterans Day gaffe on Sunday, making one military man's day with a selfless on-air act.
Strahan hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2024 after failing to place his hand over his heart during the national anthem, which sparked outrage and calls for him to be fired by Fox.
He kept his job and a year on appeared to be keen to ensure there were no mistakes this time around, with the analyst making multiple gestures during Fox's pregame tributes to the military.
During one segment, host Charissa Thompson interviewed a former army veteran named John Dinwiddle, revealing he is attempting to 'get back into the workforce'.
She then threw to Strahan at the analyst desk, allowing him to reveal to the veteran that he is going to provide him with a brand new suit - from his own company - to help him look smart during his job search.
On social media, fans reacted to the news, with one writing: 'What an incredible gesture from Michael Strahan – fantastic support!'

He offered veteran John Dinwiddle a free suit to help him in his search for employment
Strahan also took time at the start of the broadcast to pay tribute to the military and veterans
A second wrote 'awesome', while a third added: 'Nuts'.
Some, though, did not take the gesture at face value, with one commenting: 'More like the National Fake League they don't give [two] s***s about Veterans.
'@NFL @NFLonFOX such a sham for the show.'
Earlier in the program, Strahan had gone out of his way to pay tribute to the military ahead of Veterans Day, nailing his colors to the mast within the first few minutes of the broadcast.
'I know we're here for football,' he told the viewers, 'but this is about our armed service. So thank you to everybody here, everybody around the world, you gave us our freedom.'
Strahan sparked outrage in 2024 by not placing his hand on his heart for the national anthem
Fans took to social media to hit out at Strahan after his controversial act this time last year
It is almost a year to the day since Strahan's 2024 mistake at the San Diego Naval Base, where Fox was hosting its NFL coverage ahead of Veterans Day.
While every other member of the team stood with their hand over their heart, Strahan angered fans on social media when he instead stood with his hands interlocked in front of him.
After he was seen not covering his heart during the Star Spangled Banner, the 52-year-old was branded 'unpatriotic' by furious Americans who took to social media to vent their frustrations.
Along with a photo of the moment, Newsmax host Todd Starnes first posted: 'Michael Strahan disrespected the military during a Veterans Day pre-game show on @NFLonFOX.
In the aftermath, Strahan flew into a frenzy and threw a Daily Mail reporter's phone into a bush
'The great irony is Strahan on a ship surrounded by men and women who would willingly sacrifice their lives to protect his freedom. So, his behavior is not just repugnant, it's downright cowardly.'
Another fan commented: 'What the hell is wrong with Michael Strahan!? On effing Veterans Day! Boo, @NFL. Boo, @NFLonFOX. Not cool.'
A third added: 'Fire Michael Strahan! This is unacceptable!'
'@NFLonFOX Michael Strahan, standing with US military honoring Veterans Day can't show honor and respect during the National Anthem... Wow!', wrote another.
