A significant record was broken on Tuesday night as Arsenal’s 15-year-old prodigy Max Dowman became the youngest player ever to appear in the Champions League.

At 15 years and 308 days, the Gunners academy graduate came on in the 72nd minute with Arsenal leading 3-0 against Slavia Praha.

Dowman eclipsed the previous record held by Youssoufa Moukoko, who made his debut for Borussia Dortmund in 2019 at 16 years and 18 days. The German forward now plays for FC Copenhagen.
