Follow Mail Sport's live blog as Marcus Rashford is announced as a Barcelona player after completing loan move from Manchester United.

Awkward moment for Barca...

These days, there never really seem to be shock transfer announcements - we sort of know they're going to happen long before they're confirmed through social media etc.

It must infuriate clubs, you'd imagine, that they don't get to be the ones to drop the breaking news, so you have to feel for them to an extent.

Unless of course they, I don't know, leak the news themselves and then hurriedly delete it...

Yep, that's what appears to have happened, and you can check out more at the link below.

Barcelona have jumped the gun by leaking their transfer announcement of Marcus Rashford, before hastily deleting the video. They are poised for the official unveiling.

Plenty of activity

Our man on the ground in Barcelona NATHAN SALT, tells us that there is plenty going on down at the Barcelona club shop at their new stadium, which may hint at where the unveiling is to take place.

That is of course where we saw Lamine Yamal declare himself Barca's new No 10 not so long ago...

There looks to be a lot of eager fans milling around looking for a first glimpse of their new man in Barca colours.

Barcelona's Spanish forward Lamine Yamal poses for a photo holding his new number 10 jersey after signing his contract with FC Barcelona until 2031 at the Camp Nou stadium's shop in Barcelona, Spain on July 16, 2025. This Wednesday, FC Barcelona officially announced that Lamine Yamal, having just turned 18, will wear the iconic number 10 shirt after renewing his contract until 2031. With an already impressive record that includes 18 goals, 25 assists, and a European Championship title with Spain, Yamal takes on a historic responsibility once held by legends like Messi, Ronaldinho, and Maradona. The young winger said at the event that the jersey does not put pressure on him and that he is determined to forge his own path at FC Barcelona. (Photo by Stringer/Anadolu via Getty Images)

Will we get some keepy-uppies?

I know what we're all thinking - will we get Rashford showing off how many keepy-uppies he can do, like in the Barca unveilings of old?

Well, given that the club's stadium is still not exactly finished per se, we may have to wait for his first match for some juggling.

There have been some absolute classics down the line, though, and even if they have to hold his presser on a bus you'd back him to do better than Ousmane Dembele's attempt...

Inside Rashford's move to Barca

Barcelona have been linked with a fair few forwards over the last few months, from Nico Williams to Luis Diaz, but they finally look to have landed the man that the club insists was their No 1 target.

For more on just how this deal came to pass, you can check out the inside scoop from Mail Sport's PETE JENSON at the link below!
