Die-hard Manchester United fan Luke Littler has taken a swipe at Liverpool supporters following Ruben Amorim's side’s 2-1 victory at Anfield on Sunday.

The 18-year-old darts star is a devoted Red, having grown up in Warrington, less than 20 miles from Old Trafford. He often mentions the club in interviews and has even been invited to visit Carrington to throw a few arrows against some of his heroes.

In the wake of Manchester United's win over Liverpool at Anfield, the champions’ first home defeat in 400 days, Littler wasted no time in stirring up Liverpool fans on social media.

Posting a photo of the full-time score, Littler wrote: 'Yanited, Yanited, Yanited. Where's the scousers at back under your rock you go.

'Cause we are Man United and we are never going to stop.'

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for the visitors before Cody Gakpo’s equaliser appeared to set Liverpool on course against Amorim’s side.

But Harry Maguire had the final say, heading in from a corner to restore United’s lead and take all three points back to Manchester.

The result lifts Amorim’s team into ninth place and the top half of the table for the first time this season, just two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Littler was clearly revelling in the result, resharing a post from Mundial magazine that showed Maguire performing Ronaldinho’s Brazil celebration, while also poking fun at the defender’s stats compared with Liverpool star Florian Wirtz, highlighting Maguire’s two goals this season against the £116million signing’s none.

Littler has previously shown support for the under-pressure United boss, backing the Portuguese manager despite a difficult start to life at Old Trafford.

'Obviously people are saying "Amorim out" but you’ve got to look at the players,' he told Express Sport last month.

'Some of them don’t fit the system, I don’t think. I think it’s going to be very tough but as long as we get into the top-eight Conference League, that’s what I’m hoping for.'
