Liverpool superstar Florian Wirtz has been given an iconic shirt number - while the selections of his fellow summer signings at Anfield have also been revealed.
Wirtz joined from Bayer Leverkusen in a staggering £116million deal earlier this summer and has hit the ground running, scoring in a 3-1 pre-season friendly victory against Japanese side Yokohama FM on Wednesday and bagging a cash prize.
He had temporarily worn the No 58 jersey during his first few appearances for his new club in the Far East, but his official number has now been confirmed.
Indeed, Wirtz has been given the No 7 shirt, inheriting the eye-catching strip from Luis Diaz after he departed for Bayern Munich earlier this week. It has been worn by a string of club greats, including Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish and Luis Suarez.
Hugo Ekitike, recruited in an eye-catching £79m move from Eintracht Frankfurt, will wear the No 22 jersey, with Milos Kerkez taking on the No 6. Jeremie Frimpong has chosen the No 30, the same number he had worn at Leverkusen, his last club.
There has been a reshuffle in the goalkeeping department. Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will play second fiddle to Alisson next season, is the No 25, while fellow deputies Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi are the No 28 and No 41 respectively.

Meanwhile, Conor Bradley has switched to No 12 from No 84 and Trey Nyoni, one of two teenagers to have cemented their first-team claims in pre-season, is the No 42.
The numbers have been confirmed ahead of the launch of Liverpool's new home and away kits, and will be used for the first time against Athletic Bilbao next Monday.
Mail Sport reported how Wirtz has already left his team-mates in awe of his abilities.
Wirtz, who had also attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City, bagged his first goal for the club against Yokohama FM and impressed with another all-round display - and Arne Slot believes his arrival was a statement of intent.
Speaking to reporters before the Reds headed back to the UK, Slot said: 'Yeah, it does [say a lot about where Liverpool are at as a club]. The way we do that is we don't just think, "Let's bring a midfielder in". This is a long-term project for the club.
'It's the way this club has worked over several years: targeting a specific player who we think can strengthen the squad and can bring us quality.
'Then we try to bring him in.
'With Florian, it worked out quite well because he's with us now.'

In an odd twist, Wirtz has taken on Diaz's old number after helping to convince the Colombian winger to make the move to Bayern Munich.
'I was already familiar with the German league and know roughly what kind of football is played here,' Diaz said after penning his four-year contract.
'But yes, I had the opportunity to speak with Florian. The league is different from the English one, but it's also intense and physical. Football is also well played here, there are great teams, and the stadiums are always full.
'Florian also told me that the city is great and that I would really enjoy it here. He also wished me the best of luck. I'm very grateful to him.'
