Across her skiing career, Lindsey Vonn has made plenty of split-second saves. This time, on the red carpet, she made another.
Vonn attended a gala on Thursday hosted by the Kering Foundation and stepped out in a flowing red gown with an attached cape.
As the downhill skiing champion attempted to remove the cape for photographers on the red carpet, she accidentally caused one of her shoulder straps to fall off.
But before she could be exposed by the wardrobe malfunction, she quickly pulled the strap back up and continued to pose for the camera.
She accessorized her red dress with a black clutch, white heeled sandals and gold jewelry.
Vonn's natural blonde locks were styled in waves which draped over her right shoulder.

The 41-year-old also shared an insight into her recovery following a terrifying crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
On opening night of the US Open on August 30, Vonn told TNT Sports that she still has yet 'another surgery' to undergo after suffering a compound complex tibia fracture.
'So, I'm trying to get as strong as possible, and once I get my ACL, then I'll have another long road ahead of me, but for now I feel great, and I'm very thankful for that,' she added.
Vonn told People Magazine that her summer has involved 'a lot of rehab' and 'a lot of recovery.'
'But I'm finally doing better,' she told the outlet. 'I was able to play tennis yesterday and that was a really big day for me. So it's coming along, slowly but surely.'
