Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is headed for hand surgery after suffering a potentially significant injury in Sunday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Remarkably, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh left the door open for a quick return, telling reporters he doesn’t know if Herbert will miss any time after hurting a finger on his non-throwing left hand.
Harbaugh described the injury as a hand fracture and the procedure is scheduled for Monday.
