Jamie Carragher reunited his love affair with Borussia Dortmund fans in the build-up to their Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Liverpool legend Carragher famously spent time in the 'Yellow Wall' during Dortmund's run to the competition's final in 2024, with his antics that night going viral.

And before the German side took on City at the Etihad for a game they eventually lost 4-1, Carragher linked up with supporters on their walk from Manchester city centre to the stadium.

When appearing on CBS Sports' coverage of the encounter, the former defender revealed what he had been up to.

'I've been with the Dortmund fans already today,' he said. 'Our relationship is like a house on fire, we absolutely love the bones of each other. Just have a little look at this...'

The programme then transitioned into a clip of Carragher joining supporters on the customary pre-match march.

Carragher was loving the experience and was even handed a few beers by supporters

He later was seen holding a yellow flare in the air as he rejoined the fans he has a soft spot for

Within the clip Carragher was handed a Dortmund scarf and joined in with various songs.

He was even given a few beers and at one point held a yellow flare in the air. He was also happy to pose for photos.

Both Carragher and fans seemed to be loving the unique experience, after which the pundit was questioned on his antics.

'It's been fantastic,' he explained to his colleagues Kate Abdo, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry. 'We had a great walk in from Manchester city centre to the ground.

'They're enjoying themselves, they're looking forward to the game and a little bit worried about Erling Haaland.

'But they've got their own man up front in (Serhou) Guirassy who we think might be able to cause a problem or two.

'They're in full flight and hopefully by the end of the game they're going to really enjoy themselves and I might join them.'

Back in May 2024, Carragher linked up with Dortmund fans ahead of the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against PSG.

That night he enjoyed a boozy evening as he sat in the 'Yellow Wall' for their 1-0 victory.

Carragher, who was sent into the stands by CBS Sports, later revealed he suffered from a hangover after having eight pints.

He also conducted eventful post-match interviews that saw him treat Jadon Sancho like a close friend, but PSG manager Luis Enrique refused to speak with him.

As Carragher lined up alongside Peter Schmeichel to conduct the post-match chats, a concerned Abdo asked him: 'Are you sober enough to do this Jamie?'

He replied: 'You know that's actually a good point. I haven't had too much to eat. I had a cheeseburger around half two.

'That might explain why I might be slurring my words because I've had about eight pints in the Yellow Wall. I've got a new family, a family and friends. We all looked after each other.'

Speaking the next day on the show, Carragher reflected on the memorable experience.

He said: '[I was] Hungover. But I loved it, it was on the bucket list I said that going to Borussia Dortmund as a football fan.

'I have never actually been on the Kop and sang You'll Never Walk Alone but have now done it in the Yellow Wall.

'To sing You'll Never Walk Alone and be in their with my new family and friends was something I'll never forget. It was brilliant, I absolutely loved it.

'When I go next time I am going exactly there, I know where it is and those people are there week after week. Kaiser and Kaiser,' he added.
