Jack Grealish has traded his typical off-season downtime for intense summer training, sharing a new photo of his ripped physique on social media.

Grealish was excluded from Manchester City's squad for the Club World Cup after Pep Guardiola's side announced their 27-man travelling party earlier this week.

City will head to the United States for the tournament, opening their campaign on June 18 against Moroccan side Wydad. They will also play Juventus and Al-Ain in the group stage.

Grealish is understood to have been omitted to facilitate a potential summer move. Guardiola has already acknowledged that the 29-year-old could leave, while England manager Thomas Tuchel has told him he needs regular playing time to earn a recall to the national squad.

But this has done little to dampen Grealish's spirit, who looks in better shape than ever on holiday, while his City team-mates gear up for their first game of the post-season on the East Coast.

Grealish took to Instagram to caption a photo with the words: 'Late night runs on holiday. Feeling good,' accompanied by a running man emoji and a flexed biceps emoji.

After being left out of Man City's squad, there is much speculation over the star's future

Norwegian international Erling Haaland could not deal with the blistering climate in Miami

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland struggled to deal with the intense Miami climate, which sees temperatures often soar past 30 degrees celsius in the summer.

He shared a photo on Snapchat, captioned: 'Norwegian in Miami = sunburned.'

Haaland, who is one of Grealish's best friends at the club, shared another post on social media earlier this week as City jetted off for the start of the Club World Cup.

He took a snap of him sat on City's flight to Florida, wearing club colours and sat on branded seats.

The spot next to him, though, was empty - having seemingly been left free for Grealish.

The forward, wearing headphones, had instead seemingly put some luggage on the seat next to him, and captioned the photo: 'Jack Grealish where are you,' accompanied by a crying emoji.

Haaland and Grealish have become close friends since the former joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.

After City won the Premier League two years ago, Haaland screamed: 'I f***ing love you, you know that?' in his friend's direction, interrupting his interview with Sky Sports.

The duo have developed a blossoming bromance but would be separated if Grealish leaves

Haaland stole the show during Grealish's post-match interview after City won the league in 2023 as the striker yelled 'I f***ing love you, you know that?', live on Sky Sports

Mail Sport explained in May 2023 how the pair used to live on the same floor in a plush city-centre apartment block in Manchester, only strengthening their relationship.

They both recently moved out to live in their own mansions in Alderley Edge, reportedly just 10 minutes away from one another.

Clubs in England - including Everton - and Europe are expected to be interested in Grealish.

However, the fact that many are grappling with PSR issues may make a loan deal more likely than a permanent move for a man who cost City £100m when he signed from Aston Villa for a British record fee in 2021.

After Grealish was left out of City’s final Premier League fixture at Fulham, Guardiola said that officials would work with the player and his representatives to find a solution that suited both sides.
