Incredible play by Cowboys rookie sends NFL fans into meltdown: 'Every parent should show this to their kids'

Dallas Cowboys rookie Alijah Clark has gone viral after making an incredible defensive play during their win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Cowboys secured a 24-21 victory at the AT&T Stadium on the day and, after the game, fans were full of praise for Clark after one incident in particular. 

During the fourth quarter, the Cowboys stalled on a drive before eventually opting to punt - with Clark being brought in as a gunner for the punt coverage team. 

As he chased down the punt, footage showed Clark taking a huge hit from one the Eagles players and being wiped out on the floor.

However, Clark immediately got back to his feet and, after riding another tackle, began sprinting up the field towards punt returner Xavier Gipson. 

After evading one tackle, Gipson was met by Clark who produced a huge hit and popped the ball loose and, in the process, forcing a fumble.

It didn't take long for fans to catch wind of the incident and hundreds of them took to social media to heap praise on the 22-year-old star.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: 'This effort by #Cowboys rookie Alijah Clark really caught my attention. Incredible. And it's one every team should show their players'.'

'One of the those plays every Special Teams coach will have pulled up this week on why you're never out of the fight. INCREDIBLE hustle & finish,' another said.

Former QB Robert Griffin III wrote: 'Cowboys Rookie DB Alijah Clark is the difference between winning and losing. Watch the EFFORT on this play. 

'Every parent should show this to their kids and every coach in the country should show this clip to their team. RELENTLESS EFFORT WINS GAMES'.

Another said: 'Cowboys DB Alijah Clark with the ultimate hustle play. That's why you never give up. All effort!'

Meanwhile, on commentary, Tom Brady said: 'Look at that hustle! Who wants to be a gunner in the NFL? Not me. 

'But Clark, relentless effort. Just great hustle, and then causing a massive turnover.' 

Clark's defensive display in the fourth quarter helped Dallas mount a surprise comeback on the day, having been down 21-14 at the end of the third.
