Las Vegas Raiders part owner Tom Brady is on the hook for the first error he made as a stakeholder in the team.

Earlier this week, the team fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly after just eleven games in charge.

According to The Athletic, Brady was a 'big advocate' to bring the former Philadelphia Eagles coach into the fold.

However, after a loss to the Cleveland Browns - featuring Shedeur Sanders in his first ever start - Kelly was dumped from the coaching staff.

As insider Dianna Russini reported for the outlet, 'I'm told Tom Brady was a big advocate for bringing in Chip Kelly to run the Raiders' offense, and has shared with some people close to him his disappointment in the team's overall performance.'

Russini added, 'His frustrations go beyond the offense, too.'

Brady banged the drum for Chip Kelly to be offensive coordinator. Kelly has since been fired.

Kelly had success at the collegiate level - reaching the BCS National Championship game with Oregon.

However, the NFL was not as fruitful an endeavor. He failed to make an impact with the Eagles and with the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelly returned to college - coaching UCLA from 2018 until 2023.

Las Vegas has been deeply flawed on offense this season - currently the third-worst in total yards per game and the second-worst in points per game.

The Raiders sit at 2-9 on the season and will play the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend.
