Former Newcastle Knights forward Alex McKinnon is a step closer to his big day after revealing a new update about his upcoming wedding.
McKinnon, 33, got engaged to his glamorous 23-year-old girlfriend, Lily Malone, while they were on a romantic getaway to Paris.
The couple made the announcement earlier this month via a joint post on their social media platforms.
Now, McKinnon has revealed that the couple are looking to enlist the services of a wedding planner as they start gearing up for the ceremony.
'Wedding venue and planner recommendations,' he posted to his Instagram story, seeking advice from friends and family.
Lily indicated in the caption that her beau had popped the question on October 28 in the French capital.

To commemorate the landmark moment, the couple shared a gallery of public displays of affection against the backdrop of famous landmarks.
One Instagram photo featured Lily standing in front of the Louvre Museum, flaunting her impressive new engagement ring.
The lavish ring reportedly featured a large diamond set on a gold band.
The emotional proposal appeared to have taken place at night during their trip to the iconic museum.
Lily looked gorgeous in a white sleeveless dress, while Alex wore black trousers and a cream cardigan for the occasion.
The joyful news sparked an influx of congratulations from followers and friends, including Lily's family, who wrote that they were 'so happy' and welcomed Alex into their family.
This proposal came after Lily had hinted they were headed for marriage, having posted a video earlier in October saying her hand 'would look a lot better with a ring on it.'
Lily, a social worker, and Alex, who was studying psychology, first hard-launched their relationship in March 2024 after meeting as students at the University of Newcastle.

It comes after McKinnon split from his previous wife Teigan Power, who is the mother of their three children
This new chapter follows Alex's previous marriage to Teigan Power, which ended amicably in January 2022 after five years and three children, with both remaining committed to co-parenting.
It comes after McKinnon's promising NRL career ended abruptly following a catastrophic on-field accident during a match in March 2014.
While playing for the Newcastle Knights, the young forward sustained a serious spinal injury after an illegal tackle by an opposing player.
The tackle tragically left McKinnon a quadriplegic, meaning he lost most movement and sensation from the neck down.
Consequently, this life-altering incident forced the 22-year-old McKinnon to retire immediately from professional rugby league.
