Parramatta great Nathan Hindmarsh has shot down a false report that he and his wife are due to have twins by revealing that he has had a vasectomy.
Now a TV and radio star with Fox Sports and Triple M, the 46-year-old was reacting to a Facebook post that contained the fabricated 'news'.
Hindmarsh read part of the post out on Triple M with his co-host Anthony Maroon.
'Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh welcomes twins in the most heartwarming Parra moment of the year,' he told listeners.
'Some victories are won on the field, others arrive wrapped in pure love. And today Parramatta is celebrating the kind of win that melts even the toughest rugby league hearts.'
The former NSW and Kangaroos star then explained why the report couldn't possibly be true.

'Just to be clear, anyone who saw that on the weekend, you're not having twins?' Maroon asked.
'No, my wife and I are definitely not having twins, nor am I having twins with anyone else,' Hindmarsh said.
'Total rubbish, because everything's been cut, tied, snipped, you name it, nothing is getting out.'
Hindmarsh and his wife Bonnie have four children - sons Buster, Archie, Rowdy and Dodge.
Since retiring from the NRL in 2012 after playing 330 games for the Eels, along with 23 matches for Australia and 17 for NSW, the ex-back-rower has forged a career as an NRL pundit and TV funnyman.
He has formed a popular duo with former Roosters star Bryan Fletcher, with the pair known and loved by footy fans for their hilarious takes on the game and interactions with current stars.
In 2024, Fletch and Hindy grilled the Queensland Origin squad with a series of hilarious 'psychology' questions behind enemy lines at Suncorp Stadium this week.
Claiming to have endorsement from head coach Billy Slater, Bryan Fletcher kicked things off by stating, 'Billy has asked us to do this,' as he sat down with stars including Ezra Mam, Xavier Coates, and Ben Hunt.

Known to fans as 'Hindy', the 46-year-old played a record 330 games for Parramatta
The Maroons were put on the spot with rapid-fire questions, supposedly for a psychology test being monitored by Slater upstairs at Suncorp Stadium.
The fun began when Coates was asked about his 'three turn-ons,' leading to the side-splitting answer: 'Cross-field kick, brunette, ravioli.'
Fletcher couldn't resist following up with, 'How about this: an Italian chef who looks like Angelina Jolie and can kick. Is that hot?'
Hindmarsh showed off his more serious side in March when he reacted to the bombshell news that then-Parramatta five-eighth Dylan Brown had accepted a $13million, 10-year deal to join Newcastle from next season.
Asked by fellow ex-NRL star turned radio host James Graham whether the Eels should have dropped Brown to give younger players an opportunity, Hindmarsh responded, 'I'm getting to that point now where it makes sense.
'He's not offering much at the Eels.
'I've never been in that position (immense spotlight) before. It was easy for me to do my job, cart the ball up, tackle someone.
'He (Brown) has to organise the whole sh*t show that it is at the moment.'
