Hall of Fame wrestling star Mike Rotunda has been placed in hospice, with his family asking for prayers for the 67-year-old.
Rotunda became a household name during the 1980s and 1990s when he competed in the WWE, WCW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He competed under a host of ring names including IRS.
He was tag team partners with Barry Windham, who has now revealed that Rotunda's health has taken a turn for the worse.
'It is kind of tough right now. Mike is in hospice right now,' Windham said in an interview with Bill Apter. 'I love that family. It’s so tragic... it's been a great ride, and I would like for you all to pray for Mike.'
Windham - who is Rotunda's brother-in-law - added: 'He was just a good boy. He was such a good person, never got in trouble at all his whole life. He’s a good boy.'
Precise details on his condition are unknown. Rotunda, who is married to Barry Windham's sister Stephanie, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2024.

Last week, meanwhile, it was reported that another Hall of Famer, Abdullah the Butcher, had been hospitalized with 'serious health issues'.
The 84-year-old, whose real name is Lawrence Robert Shreve, was taken to the hospital last Thursday night because of the unspecified problem.
After sharing the worrying news, booking agent Steve Stasiak called on the wrestling community to send 'prayers, positive thoughts, and strength' to Abdullah amid his health struggle.
'Right now, he needs all of us. Let’s come together as fans, friends, and family of this business to send our prayers, positive thoughts, and strength his way,' he wrote in a post on Facebook.
