A former WWE superstar-turned conservative media commentator believes that President Trump could be involved in the final match of a wrestling icon.
Last month, the WWE announced that the final match in the legendary career of 17-time world champion John Cena would be held on December 13 at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
An opponent for the 48-year-old Massachusetts native has not yet been announced.
However, according to former wrestler and current Fox News personality Tyrus, the 47th President may be making an appearance.
Tyrus, born George Murdoch, suggested to TMZ that Trump may become involved in Cena's final appearance.
'A thousand percent. If he says he's going, he's going. It's an indecent thing — and that's not by mistake. He might even be in the finish,' he told the outlet's 'Inside the Ring' show.
A former WWE superstar believes Donald Trump will appear at John Cena's final match
Former wrestler and current conservative commentator Tyrus believes that the President will be present when Cena takes to the ring for one final time at Capital One Arena in DC
'You take all the whiny baby, I-hate-him crap — years from now, when all this media BS is over, people will say, 'I remember where I was when John Cena wrestled and the President of the United States was there.' That's not a small thing.'
Tyrus is a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion and competed in the main card of WWE from 2012 to 2014.
He has been a regular guest on Fox News' late-night show 'Gutfeld!' since 2016. In 2024, he began hosting his own show for the conservative-leaning sports outlet OutKick.
Trump was a mainstay in the WWE in the years prior to his political career. However, the wrestling promotion has generally avoided showcasing or discussing politics in recent years.
Earlier this year, Cena won his 17th WWE World Championship at Wrestlemania 41 - breaking the record for most world titles previously held by Ric Flair.
Cena lost the title at SummerSlam this past August - being defeated by the man he took the belt from at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes.
