The Los Angeles Dodgers' unthinkable Game 3 win over the visiting Toronto Blue Jays may have never reached its dramatic 18th-inning conclusion without the clutch performance of veteran Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw.

With the bases loaded and the game tied at five in the top of the 12th, the long-time Dodgers starter came on in relief to induce an inning-ending groundout from Blue Jays right fielder Nathan Lukes.

It was another in a series of big postseason moments from the 37-year-old southpaw, but for his wife, Ellen, it might as well have been his first.

Fox cameras recorded a nervous Ellen struggling to watch her husband of 14 years. First her hands were clasped in front of her face, then she balled them into fists and raised them to her temples before thrusting her arms in the air as Lukes grounded out to end the inning.

With the out recorded, Ellen leaned backwards into the arms of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts' wife, Tricia, as two of the Kershaws' four children jumped in celebration.

'I'll remember moments like this,' Kershaw told Fox after the win. 'I can't believe I'm getting to be in another World Series at Dodger Stadium.'

Dodgers fans were, naturally, going through a similar ordeal on their couches.

'Girl, same,' one die-hard Dodgers fan wrote on X. 'I was crying and holding my cat, Kershaw.'

Unfortunately for the Kershaws, there would still be six more frantic innings before Freddie Freeman's walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th.

Kershaw plans to retire at the end of the season, but the World Series champion and three-time Cy Young winner isn't done yet. He should be available out of the bullpen again in Tuesday's Game 4 having pitched just twice in the last month.

'Kershaw coming in with the bases loaded and two outs in the 12th inning? Legend move,' one happy Dodgers fan wrote after the Game 3 win. 'If this is his last season, he didn't just go quietly — he snatched the moment.'

'Clayton Kershaw, you are unreal,' another fan added. 'Thank you for the memories.'
