After suffering a hamstring injury in a game against the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels appears to have avoided anything serious.
Washington head coach Dan Quinn told reporters that an MRI on Daniels' hamstring did not come back with any significant damage.
The injury is not being considered a long term one. However, the team did not commit to any status on Daniels' potential to start against the Kansas City Chiefs next Monday evening.
Daniels went down in the game on an awkward tackle that resulted in a fumble recovered by Dallas.
He then got up to his feet and tried walking off before hopping on one leg with some help from training staff.
The reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year did not return to the game.

Quinn didn't get into specifics about the injury after Sunday's game, but said that Daniels had felt something in his hamstring on the play before he came out of the game.
'I just don't want to say one way or another, and not give the accurate info on that,' Quinn said, after referring to the planned MRI for the second-year QB.
Daniels grabbed at the back of his leg after being sacked by Shemar James. The rookie linebacker arrived right as Daniels had pump-faked and dragged down the quarterback.
After walking gingerly to the sideline, Daniels went briefly into the medical tent before coming out and jogging through the bench area and then into the tunnel toward the locker room with Washington (3-4) down 27-15.
'He definitely wanted back in,' Quinn said.
Daniels missed two games earlier this season with a left knee injury, and the Commanders split those games with backup quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Mariota deputized for Daniels after the young star came out, finishing 4-of-10 for 63 yards and the interception against the Cowboys.
