Kansas City Chiefs star pass rusher Chris Jones had many fans doing a double take after he was seen drinking a clear liquid out of a bottle on the sidelines.

Jones had a strong game against the division rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, recording one tackle and one sack in the demolition of their opponents.

But just before the fourth quarter, Jones was seen sitting on the bench while chatting with a teammate.

In that shot, Jones was seen holding a clear bottle with a colorless liquid inside of it.

After that glimpse of the bottle was shown in the shot, Jones was accused by fans of drinking vodka.

Many accounts were dumbfounded and joked that Jones must be consuming the clear alcoholic beverage.

Many fans believed, without evidence, that the Kansas City star was sipping alcohol

One joked, 'Clear during work hours... brown afterwards.'

Another said, 'I mean they're up 31-0. He can do whatever tf he wants to lol.'

But many were quick to point out that there would be severe penalties if he was found to be drinking alcohol on the sidelines - and that it was likely water.

'What kinda rich ass water is that? There's just no way that's vodka,' said one user.

One comment read, 'Y'all so country you've only seen water in plastic bottles.'

'If bro was really tryna down some liquor on the sideline, he’d put it in a regular looking bottle. This just some fancy glass water bottle,' read another post.

While it's very clear that Jones wasn't drinking vodka, this wasn't the only controversial moment which came from this game.

Earlier in the day, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was heard dropping curse words while trying to get the Raiders to jump offside.

After two attempts at a 'hard count' failed to get the right reaction, Mahomes stood up and turned to the sidelines to yell to his coaches.

'This f***in never f***in works, man,' Mahomes said clearly enough to be heard on the CBS broadcast.

The curse words got a laugh out of color commentator Tony Romo, who then offered up a half-hearted 'Sorry'.

It was all a ruse. Typically, in a hard count situation, there isn't a play designed and teams call timeout.

Instead, Mahomes got the snap off and handed the ball to running back Kareem Hunt who gained three yards and the first down.
