Chelsea's chief revenue officer has departed Stamford Bridge less than two years into the role – with the club still without a shirt sponsor.

Casper Stylsvig was hired in November 2023, having held the same post at AC Milan.

At the time, former Chelsea chief executive Chris Jurasek hailed the new man’s ‘commercial and football experience’.

Before heading to Milan, Stylsvig spent three years at Fulham, and eight years as Manchester United’s global sponsorship director, having started his career with Barcelona.

Chelsea are the only top flight team without a shirt sponsor, which can be a critical source of revenue in the era of Profit and Sustainability rules.

They are thought to have had offers, but none have resulted in a deal. The club have reportedly looking for between £60m and £65m a season, with new Saudi airline Riyadh Air strongly linked.

Chelsea had no shirt sponsor last season until a short-term deal was inked with Dubai-based property firm Damac. They also started 2023-24 without a shirt sponsor before striking a £40m agreement with US tech firm Infinite Athlete.

Chelsea have been approached for comment.
