Charles Leclerc took a sensational pole position during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, lining up ahead of McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

The championship rivals will start second and third on the grid, with George Russell and Fernando Alonso rounding out an unusual-looking top five.

Meanwhile, Leclerc's beleaguered Ferrari team-mate - Lewis Hamilton - could only muster up a time good enough for P12, marking the seven-time world champion's worst-ever qualifying performance in Budapest.
